For some reason I got a bee in my bonnet to crochet a baby hat for Baby Two. I did it yesterday and then this morning finished the ribbing on the end. The pattern can be found here. I still want to add eyes and ears to it, but it looks kind of cute as [...]

All I can think of tonight is how cold it is outside and how much colder it will be in the next few days. A while back Damon said he needed a scarf and I picked up some Alpaca yarn to try and make him one. I started it, but didn’t get it finished. I [...]

For my niece Genevieve’s first birthday, I made her a hair bow holder. (Never mind that her birthday was in September and she didn’t get it until Thanksgiving.) Sarah-Ginny requested something, anything, to keep all of Princess G’s hair bows in order. I had seen other hair bow/ hair clip holders on the internet, and [...]

As my belly grows and the days get colder, I have had a conundrum developing- how to keep warm when going outside. On Monday I went to dinner with my in-laws and I had no coat to put on and keep me warm. It was sooooo cold and there really wasn’t anything I could do [...]

Damon and I finished our gingerbread house this morning and got it to the Creative Discovery Museum by 11 a.m. We worked hard on it until 1:30 last night and then this morning we finished the details. The picture above is one of the details I worked on- the presents spilling out of Santa’s bag. [...]

Damon and I have been doing the team work thing this evening, decorating our gingerbread house for the neighborhood contest tomorrow. I’m kind of tired and we still have bits to decorate and assembly to get accomplished. And then, I’m off to bed.

I broke a vow today. I have no idea if the words ever left my mouth, but I know I have thought about it. I promised myself I would never roll Christmas cookies when I was an adult. It stemmed from a lifetime of Christmases where my sisters and I would help roll various doughs [...]
