WFMW :: Texting Gloves
Posted by Alli on December 8, 2010
We have reached the point in the year when our position far from the sun makes us reach for things like turtlenecks, sweaters, scarves, coats, and gloves. Maybe hats, but I don’t wear them. I also don’t wear coats that often because I feel suffocated. But that’s a post for another day.
In the last few years I have noticed a trend in my cold weather wear- I put on gloves, but they never stay on. I am constantly taking them off so I can better do something like take pictures, buckle kids into their car seats, or work my cell phone.
I’m kind of crafty and have the ability to crochet. I have often said, “Self, you need to crochet some fingerless gloves!” I never get to it.
On Halloween it was chilly and I knew I was going to want gloves but since I would be taking pictures I wasn’t going to keep them on. So I bought three pairs of the “stretchy” gloves for $2 at Big Lots. When I got home, I cut the tips off the fingers. And the gloves stayed on for a lot longer.
So, that’s what works for me… I have cheap texting gloves and my hands still stay warm while I’m taking pictures.

I finally grew out my fingernails and one index finger poked a hole through my cheap gloves. Look ma, no scissors required! Lol. But yours look a lot nicer.

For years I have used fingerless gloves for working on the computer. My hands just get so cold typing when the room is chilly.
