Photo A Day #39 :: 39 weeks

~doctor day tomorrow. don’t really expect it to be exciting. in fact, I bet it will be pretty boring. unless I start crying, like I did at my 39 week appointment with Fuller. but even then, that sounds boring.

~I’ve been feeling icky all day, prompting me to pull out the Joy of Pregnancy and review p. 258 which gave me further hope that the end is in sight.

“Here are some signs that labor is starting….
A vague feeling that you are coming down with something or ate something that didn’t agree with you.”

Sure they are just words on the paper, but seriously, it’s enough to get me through the day.

~my cell phone is working again. Kind of.

it lives

The exterior display is totally gone, but I can open the phone and the interior display works. It rings, I can talk and hear on it, the camera phone works, and everything else. It took about three days for it to dry out in the rice. If I hadn’t messed with it after one night, it might have been a shorter drying out period.

Also, if I had immediately removed the battery after discovering the phone was water logged, I might have been able to save the entire phone. So, be alert- if you get your cell phone significantly wet, immediately remove the battery and then put it in rice to dry it out.

~ my mom is arriving in a few days and I am very excited. But I am also bothered by the amount of stuff I need to get done. If I vacuum, then it is a good thing. If I vacuum and finish putting the baby’s stuff away, then it will be awesome. If I vacuum, finish putting the baby’s stuff away, and clean the kitchen (including the floor), then I will be amazed.

~ I’ve been trying to do a little bit of Wii every day in order to get moving in a low impact kind of way. (Now that the weather is warmer I might actually go for a walk.) I currently have the highest score on the hula hoop game. And seeing a pregnant woman pretend to hula hoop is kind of a funny thing.

~ reminder to check my twitter (of if you are my friend on facebook, then my status) for information when we go to the hospital. I’ll let Damon do some of the twittering, so it should be amusing as well as informative.
