Photo A Day #37 :: Incline as interpreted by Fuller

I only took my camera out of my bag this evening to snap this picture and try to remedy my lens problem. Didn’t fix the problem, but if I keep it in auto or museum mode, we do ok. Manual mode is just not letting me do what I want.

I probably had plenty of photographic opportunities today, but I chose to sit them out in favor of just being at the hospital and trying to figure out if I was in labor. I’ll go ahead and give you the spoiler on this story: I wasn’t in labor.

I’m a bit emotionally drained from the experience, and rehashing it on my blog probably isn’t going to help.

Short story is I was having contractions for about two hours this morning. So we packed it up and headed to the hospital where things immediately calmed down (grrrrr). Tests revealed my water had not broken but they did a scan just to be sure things were ok in that department (they were). And after I was checked three times in three hours, it was determined I could go home. The only good thing about the visit is learning I am 3 cm now, which is more than I was on Monday. I thought it was more than when my water broke with Fuller, but looking back, I’m wrong on that. Thank goodness for blogs, right?

While we were at the hospital for only three hours, it felt like forever. I felt foolish for being there when nothing productive was happening. And again, I have to thank the internet for helping me get over that hump. When I read this a few weeks ago, and this being only my second visit, I felt a little better about sitting in that narrow bed strapped to the monitors.

We took naps this afternoon, and haven’t accomplished anything else. I have a regularly scheduled doctor’s appointment on Monday morning, so we will see how things are going then.
