December 24th :: Merry Christmas Cloak

As my belly grows and the days get colder, I have had a conundrum developing- how to keep warm when going outside.
On Monday I went to dinner with my in-laws and I had no coat to put on and keep me warm. It was sooooo cold and there really wasn’t anything I could do about it.
A while back, before I started feeling bad every evening, I bought some material to make a wrap or a cloak to help cover my belly and keep me warm. This morning I decided to go ahead and make it. The weather has warmed up since Monday, but I know I’ll need it soon, so I spent a relaxing day making the cloak.
When I was testing it out, Fuller came up to me and said, “Excuse me, Mommy? Are you going to be Batman?” Well, I wasn’t Batman, but I was plenty warm and proud of myself for making this cloak. I wore it to Christmas Eve service and it just seemed to fit me well.
