Always, Alli

Here I am sitting in a Hardee’s in Monteagle, TN. I’m showing off my “official” Auburn Elvis Support Staff badge, whipped up by Damon Auburn Elvis himself. We had been joking I should have a special pin or press pass to wear when we go to the games, and he made this one for the Auburn versus Vanderbilt game we went to on Saturday afternoon.

We actually left a little early, since sinus problems were affecting our enjoyment of the game. If we had stayed through the entire thing, Auburn’s performance (or lack of) would have really hampered our experience.

It was a quick trip, and overall ok. But Sunday was crazy busy with a certain four year old’s birthday. (I still can’t believe I’m a mother of a four year old.) Between nursery at church, cake making, fun at the corn maze, and lots of phone calls, I never got a chance to really rest on Sunday.

Exhaustion caught up with me today, and the kitchen I should have cleaned on Saturday just now got the treatment it deserved. A nap and some shopping therapy helped, but my reward is coming in the upcoming weekend. Both D and Fuller will be gone and I will be either relishing alone time or hanging out with friends in town for homecoming. So, while I recover from this past weekend, I’m just looking forward to waving bye to my guys and really getting the rest I need.
