'Cavendish' bananas in a grocery storeImage via WikipediaI’ve been dealing with leg cramps, which plagued me last pregnancy, and it really interferes with my already dubious relationship with sleep. I had to really up my water intake last time, and it really helped. So, as of now, my Camelbak and I are inseparable.

But even with increase in water, this time around, I have still been suffering. And then I had a duh moment.

I know potassium is a big help in leg cramps, and we haven’t had bananas in our house for several weeks. So last Saturday we bought bananas and since then, I eaten at least one a day. Actually I ate three on Saturday, but have been rationing myself since. Suddenly, I’m sleeping even better. I still have to get up three times a night to pee (like clockwork), but the time I do sleep is less painful.

Next pregnancy, someone please remind me: a banana a day keeps the leg cramps away!
