Izeafest Day One

I am having a great time in Orlando, enjoying the sessions and panels at Izeafest.
So far the best of the best has been Jeremy Schoemaker, aka Shoemoney, who gave an excellent keynote presentation this morning. He didn’t just say, “I’m a big money blogger and you should admire me.” He gave a real story about how he went from a 400+ pound couch potato to an online money maker who works hard (his secret sauce) and is asked to speak at events like Izeafest.
His delivery was personable and I can see why so many people would want to interact with him and sit at his feet to learn. I really thought his story was applicable to me, a small Mommy Blogger on the blogosphere.
We have had some other excellent speakers and panelists who have covered topics like content, growing our audience, and what advertisers want. The last panel, growing your audience, could have gone on for a lot longer. The room was really hanging on to the words of the panelists.
We are all waiting for Ted Murphy to show up this afternoon for his breaking news on the next upcoming innovation from Izea. From some recent buzz in the room (and a little something I found under my seat) I am hoping to see a tiny bit (or a lot of) CloudShout.
I know I have had a bit of a dry blogging spell recently, and this conference is probably the refreshing drink of water I have needed to get me going again.
