Protecting my property

Yesterday I had a craving for a donut. Or donuts. And I wanted something gooey with filling. I settled on some with lemon filling, buying six, because that is how they were packaged.

I ate one in the car. I ate one after lunch. Damon ate one as soon as he came home. Damon ate one after dinner. And Fuller ate one after dinner.

That left one donut and I wanted it to be mine. I wasn’t feeling well enough to scarf it down after dinner. And I knew leaving it in the box in the kitchen would mean it wouldn’t be available for me in the morning, since Damon is a ferocious night eater. So, I tried to protect my property:

Donut Wars

I was thrilled this morning to see the plastic bag was still on the counter. But apparently my husband had gone looking for it because I saw this:

Donut Wars

I figured, my craving, so the last one should be mine. And it was.
