Non-scale victories
I went to Weight Watchers this morning and was thrilled to have lost my PMS weight. I gained 2 pounds the week before and I lost 2.4 pounds this week. It gave me a better outlook for this upcoming week.
When we have our meeting, after everyone has done their weigh-in, the first thing our leader asks about is any non-scale victories. These would be little hurdles we have overcome or something that clicked to help us in our weightloss goal.
For me, this week I put on a pair of shorts that were too tight last summer and now they fit me perfectly. I don’t usually hold on to clothes that don’t fit me (we just don’t have that kind of space), but when I grabbed these shorts on Thursday I wasn’t expecting them to fit well. I expected to struggle to button them and to feel tightness around my lower abdomen. It was amazing for me to wear them and feel comfortable!
I still have a long way to go. In fact I have told myself I am not allowed any pedicures or eyebrow waxing until I get my weight below 200. I better be well beyond that goal by July, when I have a wedding to go to and expect to be pretty from head to toe. Honestly, I’ll probably be getting my first pedicure by the middle of May. But since I am craving one now, I figured it would be a good reward to keep me on track.
Next week I travel to Ohio, so unless I go to a meeting there, I won’t be weighing in for two weeks. Let’s see what amazing things I can do in two weeks!

non-scale victories are keeping me going right now. I get overwhelmed when you work so hard and the scale doesn’t budge
