What are you doing? Twitter in Plain English
Posted by Alli on March 9, 2008
I saw this video on Owen’s blog and it made sense for me to post it here.
I know a lot of people who don’t understand twitter. I think of it like a DVD extra, where I just post a quick answer to “What are you doing?” and it fills people in on the extra stuff I might not blog about. Or it serves as a reminder for me to blog about something later, expounding on the 140 characters I put in earlier. I can text my twitters from my cell phone, which I really only do heavily when I travel. (You can see my twitters on my twitter page or on my sidebar here.)
And, I have to say, I get more comments from my mom (via email or phone call) on my twitters than anything. So that makes it worth it too.
P.S. I just remembered this article my sister sent me about Twitter in the Classroom. It is a very good read. I’m not in school any more, but I can see exactly what the author is talking about.
