Butter update

The other day I enjoyed such a lovely walk to the grocery store and back. 3 miles of walking. I loved it.

Grace asked why I was taking pictures of butter and my friend Deb has put them to use: she has lost 68 sticks of butter! Since Deb is a visual person, and too shy to take a picture herself, I did it for her.

I went to Weight Watcher’s today and was thrilled with one pound gone. So if I took my own picture, total I have lost 12 boxes of butter.

I have a tricky week ahead of me, since our family will be traveling. We will spend four days at basketball games, so most of our food options will be food from the Georgia Dome. Overpriced hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, nachos (my favorite) and fries are mostly my options. I am counting on the many miles of walking to help battle the unhealthy nature of the beast.

And afterwards, I hope I lose at least two more boxes of butter. A loss is a loss!

  1. no imageDeb (Who am I?) Says:

…and Deb thanks you so much!!!!

Here’s another visual for you that my trainer shared with me. When you hit 15 pounds, stack three loaves of bread, just your basic kind on the shelf….and that’s the density of 15 pounds of body fat. So each loaf of bread (not fresh baked, the regular store bought kind) represents what 5 pounds of fat looks like.

    Hugs, Deb
