I haven’t been participating in the online craft club recently because I haven’t been particularly crafty. I am sad to say my crochet has been sitting in the same place since December and while I look at yarn longingly in stores, I don’t buy because I don’t have a project stirring in my heart.
But this weekend I do plan on a little bit of sewing. I was watching an episode of Threadbanger and saw a t-shirt project from a book I actually own! 99 Ways to Cut, Sew, Trim, and Tie Your T-Shirt into Something Special was a gift from Austina one Christmas. It was complied by the gang at Compai, a design collective I admire from afar.
Since watching that Threadbanger episode, I am itching to break down an Auburn t-shirt for the tournament this weekend. When I turn the pages of the book the illustrations of the shirts are on pencil thin models and don’t look like they would compliment my figure. And finding a pattern with the back still intact is a bit tricky. But I have found two or three I think I can pull off. And if not, the shirt was $5 at Wal-Mart, so if I make a mistake, it can become an Auburn throw rag.
If you have a craft to show off or talk about, please post it on your blog and leave a comment at Cass Knits so we can all see!
