December Photo Project: Day 20
Posted by Alli on December 20, 2007
Today Damon and I took a trip to Mendelson’s Liquidation. They have so much of stuff you never knew you wanted… but since it is right in front of you, you think you might just need a naked mannequin or restaurant booth or two. There is lots of restaurant equipment, office signs, and old medical equipment available for purchase at Mendelson’s.
But the gold we found there was on floor 3.
Floor three is full of electronic wires, circuits, nuts, bolts, L.E.Ds, the guts of telephones, gigantic lighting fixtures, gears, etc. One time we visited, Damon and I spent quite some time looking for a specific bearing. Today we found parts to make some L.E.D. throwies, which are currently on the ceiling of my parent’s basement.
Mendelson’s is closing out their current location, so most everything is 30% off.
I took several pictures today, finding the masses of electronic equipment appealing and very artistic. This mess of wires is only a drop in the bucket of the fun you can wade through to find the gold.
It isn’t typical tourism for Dayton, Ohio. But a place I would recommend people go see if they are ever in the neighborhood.
