I'm a size 1 or 2 for most of the clothing lines but for Bitten I'm like a size 8. It really has horrible fititng. So much for designing for normal women.

I had heard about this SJP line and I was looking for it myself. It's too bad the clothing doesn't fit well..... The "right fit" jeans from Lane Bryant are okay- except that there seems to be extra room in the crotch area (?) I bought a pair that fit great while trying them on for 5 minutes in the fitting room, but once you wear them in real life you end up with a saggy bottom and a crotch long enough for your boyfriend.....However, I have purchased many jeans from Torrid and they tend to work out very well and last quite a while. Torrid is the best plus size fashion retail store I've ever been to!!

I don't have a S&B local to me, but after reading your post, I see that they aren't for me. Thanks for the solid review, and honest writing on plus size clothing.

Lane Bryant has new "fit" jeans that work curves...I'm looking forward to trying them after the holidays.

Our Steve and Barry's is no longer new, and it is a much more pleasant shopping experience now. The stuff is actually folded and mostly in stock. As far as the no XXL t-shirts... at the one up here, there are little "cards" with the pictures of the tshirt designs, and the XXLs are under that flap. They seem to be frequently out of stock though since there's less room for them, and the sales people have to actually lift up the sign to see if they need to fill it, and well, they don't.
I've yet to buy anything there for me, but I've been in looking a couple of times.
