I love getting gift cards as gifts. I don’t mind giving them either, but it is usually a last resort because I just didn’t know what to get a person. And gift cards were always highly regarded at the office “Dirty Santa” party where people snatched gifts from others’ greedy hands (which personally, I am happy not to play any more.)
One of the fun things about gift cards is how elaborate the designs have been getting. I gave my nephew a Target card once that had googley eyes. And when my parents give D his Lowe’s or Home Depot gift card at Christmas, they usually get one with the Auburn logo on it. The personalization shows they thought a bit more about their gift card purchase.
Enter Gift Card Lab. Instead of just giving a gift certificate, you can give a Visa gift card with extra personality. You can upload a picture to the website and have it printed on your gift card. I would think would be fun to get a Visa gift card with a picture of Fuller. Or I could give a Visa gift card with a picture Fuller drew (and I scanned on into the computer) on it to his grandparents. The opportunities for personalization are endless and make the gift card more personal.
I might like one. I’m just saying.
