I was catching up on some blogs and noticed Cass reminding folks that September is National Sewing Month. Pretty interesting that on September 1st I was using a sewing machine, right?

I plan on doing some more sewing this weekend. My sister bought Sew What? Skirts and we might tackle one of them when she comes up to visit.

One of the projects I need to tackle is a laptop sleeve. I don’t have an official bag for my laptop and I need something to protect it during upcoming travel. When I put my laptop in my carry on luggage, there isn’t a lot to protect it. I need to make it before we fly to Florida next week, so today I bought some a bit of an upholstery remnant and a Clover rotary cutter (my sister has one and I loved it!).

I’ll post pictures when I get going on that one.
