Our weekend away was a little bit of a diet killer for me. I gained a pound. But I’m not stressing.
While I was at my inlaw’s house my MIL informed me she was on a diet as well. When she is in town (three days a week) she eats only fruits and vegetables. When she is back at the lake house she isn’t as strict, but they don’t eat a lot of red meat. However, the long holiday weekend was excuse for her to be off her diet.
For me, the long holiday weekend was an excuse to add alcohol into my diet. I don’t normally drink because it costs money to buy alcohol and I have other things I need to buy. But when I am at the inlaws, they buy the wine so I partake. And I know that adds calories and I didn’t really care.
I am happy that it was just a pound that I gained. But now I need to work even harder to get rid of it plus so more. I need to get over that ten pounds lost mark to give myself a little bit of encouragement.

I know I get so focused on what I did wrong that it makes it very hard to get back on track. Today I realised that things are as bad as we sometimes think.
