Who cares?

We arrived at Lake Martin last evening, around 8:30 our time. Since we cross over into the central time zone everything is an hour behind. And since it is an hour, it hardly seems worth it think what the time really is. Of course when Fuller is up at 6:30 a.m. because it is really 7:30 to his body clock, I wonder what time zone we are really following.
My father in law has a clock that says “Who cares?” and all the numbers are at the bottom of the clock face, in a heap. And that is often how it is here at the lake- we just go from sleeping to eating, to playing, to napping, to eating, and so on. You never really care about schedules or routines. It is easy to forget what, if anything, has to be done.
No worrying about cooking, bills, mortgage life insurance, or even showering before 9 a.m.
I appreciate getting away from it all and saying, “Who cares?” I need that break every once in a while.

In Kenya, they were selling clocks like that in the airport that were in the shape of Africa and said “Africa Time” instead of “Who Cares?” I wanted one.
