15 minutes to do
Posted by Alli on June 11, 2007
Organizing my time has become a momentous task since I started my time as a stay at home mom. I get distracted by simple things (the internet, the tv, my chipped nails) and avoid big things (cleaning, organizing, laundry).
I have a Tastefully Simple party tomorrow and I need to get this house presentable, so I am going to introduce the timer into my routine. 15 minutes on a task, then I move on to the next thing. This doesn’t include the out of house tasks I need to complete, but they are on my list!
How do you organize your time?

I do things in spurts. A little here, a little there. Your timer is sort of what I do, but I’m more like a 5 to 10 minute timer person!

To be honest, I think 15 minutes is too long now. After lunch I am going to change it to 10 minutes.

I do the 15 minutes and it works well for me. I hate cleaning so I have to force myself to do it! It’s a good thing that Jeff cleans and the kids help (when told) or we’d be a mess here! LOL!

I am the same way, I use an egg timer and do the 15 minute (learned it from Flylady.com)
I usually work around the rooms in a circle too, along the walls LOL

I am like deb. i do things in small spurts. i cant concentrate on one thing too long b/c i will never finish. even when i am blogging i have at least 3 or 4 other tabs open so i can flip back and forth and not get bored.
