While I am not a new blogger (see the sidebar for my other blogs), I am new to buying a domain, getting web hosting, installing Wordpress, and getting to be in charge of all things on this blog. Questions on how I do certain behind the scenes stuff keep popping up. And I have a great place to go to find answers: Geeky Speaky.

Geeky Speaky is an excellent blog for anyone who suddenly discovers that there is more to blogging than just typing words into an editor. It is about page rank, search engine optimization, widgets, plugins, blogrolls, and more. Geeky Speaky covers all that and more- in words I can understand. And as a bonus, the site is run by one of my online friends, Colleen.

Geeky Speaky has a blog directory (I need to submit this one!) and a forum, which has been my biggest help since installing wordpress. (Aside: I haven’t actually posted there yet, but I have found the answers to all my questions so far!).

On June 1st, Geeky Speaky started their first monthly giveaway. There are many ways to enter the drawing- leave a comment, write a blog entry, post on forums- so your chances are excellent.
