title pic The scoop I liked

A few months ago our family got a Blockbuster All Access account, and quickly filled up the queue with movies. Now we get movies every day in the mail and we watch them in the afternoon (if it is a kid flick or chick flick) or evening (if it is a mom and dad flick). We return it to the store that evening and get our free rental to watch later, on the weekend or something.

The other evening we watched Scoop, and for a Woody Allen movie, it was pretty good. I don’t usually find myself walking away from Woody Allen’s movies thinking it was the best way for me to spend the previous two hours. But scoop we delightful and fun to watch. Even Woody Allen’s acting didn’t really disrupt the film. I was kind of irritated at Scarlett Johansson’s nerdy American imitation. It made it hard to believe that Hugh Jackman could really find her attractive.

But I didn’t think I had wasted my evening when it was over so it gets a gold star from me!
